Jewels of Nature will add dramatic flare to any room. This butterfly is farm bred, with a certain number released into their natural habitat to ensure their population remains stable.

Product Information Card (included on the back of each frame): The Dione moneta is part of the Nymphalidae family, specimens of which have four “feet” and are also called brush-footed butterflies. The undersides of the Dione moneta’s wings are dull, not very colourful, and resemble dead foliage, making it easy to blend into leaves when predators are around. The Dione moneta’s wings are orange and brown on top, while the undersides are brown with large silver spots. It is found in Texas from April to December. During all other months, it resides in the tropics.

This wooden shadow box showcases the beautiful Dione moneta butterfly; a beautiful display piece for any wall, and a great gift for any butterfly lover or entomologist!
