Jewels of Nature will add a dramatic flair to any room. This specimen of scorpion is farm bred, with a certain number released into their natural habitat to ensure their population remains stable.

Product Information Card (included on the back of each frame): The Hetermetrus laoticus is from the Arachnida class, Chactidae family, and has 8 legs like all arachnids. This scorpion is commonly known as the Thai Giant Scorpion. It dwells in dark cool places and prefers to come out at night. Scorpions are identifiable by their long whip like tails that include a stinger at the end. The Thai Giant Scorpion's sting is like that of a wasp or hornet. Scorpions have four pairs of book lungs on the underside of their abdomen, as well as special organs called pectines also on their underside that help them identify ground textures and scents. This specimen originates from Indonesia.

This wooden shadow box showcases the beautiful Heterometrus Laoticus; a beautiful display piece for any wall, and a great gift for any scorpion lover or entomologist!
